Effective Date: April 29, 2026
The Westchester County Association of Municipal Public Works Administrators, Inc. (“WCAMPWA,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect on wcampwa.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you contact us through a form, register for an event, apply for a scholarship, or join the association, you may share your name, email address, mailing address, employer or municipality, professional title, and any details you include in a message. We collect only the information needed to respond to your request or process your application.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers log standard request data — IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of visit. We use this data to keep the site secure, troubleshoot errors, and understand general traffic patterns.
Cookies. We use a small number of cookies for site functionality (such as session state and form submission protection) and for caching to speed up page loads. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings.
Analytics. We use a privacy-friendly, first-party analytics tool (Burst Statistics) to understand which pages are visited, how visitors arrive at the site, and general device and browser types. The tool does not set cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not collect or share personal information. Aggregated statistics are kept in our own database and are not transmitted to third parties.
How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact forms
- To process membership, event, and scholarship applications
- To distribute newsletters and event announcements you have signed up for
- To operate, secure, and improve the site
- To comply with legal and tax-reporting obligations
Sharing Information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the site (for example, our email-delivery vendor) under written agreements that limit their use of the data, or when required by law (court order, subpoena, regulatory request).
Third-Party Services
The site loads fonts and certain content from third parties — including Google Fonts and, where applicable, Stripe or Chase Merchant Services for payment processing. These providers have their own privacy policies governing the data they receive.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Records required by tax or membership-administration law are kept for the period those laws require.
Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us through the Contact Us page. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s Privacy
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” above will reflect the most recent revision.
